Duende is the spanish word for the Grinch. In Spain and Greece there is a myth about some hatefull little green creatures that try to destroy Christmas by cutting down the tree that is the heart of the whole earth(?) or by killing the original Santa Claus.

Our hero is a grinch who came to our world to complete that ultimate mission. He makes a map with all the trees that might be the "One". He contacts the other grinches when he falls to sleep. He lives the life of an evil soldier until he meets his dreamgirl. When she dumbs him he becomes a lunatic chopping down every tree and killing every Santa Claus he finds in his way. And there is a big number of them because it's finally Christmas Time...

"Duende" is a gruesome fairytale with some satiric surrealistic comedy elements and some very intense gory moments...

The full length remake of a short MacabroFilm shot in 2003. The actual story was called "Deadly Strings" and was supposed to be filmed after "Red Like Blood".
